The pricier cabins are actually stand-alone, but the cheaper ones they call cabins are three rooms joined together in a stone building. We stopped to look at the rooms, and while the place is okay, it feels very expensive for what you get.

I’ve been eating at the restaurants regularly for the past three years, and the food has consistently been spot on. The setting is lovely, out in nature in the SLP desert, and the whole place has a lot to offer, including Spanish and BBQ restaurants, rooms, and a spa. On my latest visit, they set up a beautifully decorated spot for my proposal, with roses and a campfire. I’ll be back, and next time I’m hoping to stay the night.

I like that there’s no phone signal, so you’re more or less made to focus on the food, the scenery, and whoever you’re with. It’s a gorgeous spot, the concept is wonderful, the menu has plenty of options for different tastes, and the waiters are really nice.

It’s a real shame, because the place itself is beautiful. Their online booking is handled terribly, and it seems they’re mainly concerned with charging customers the commissions they should be paying themselves. So many businesses in the SLP region seem stuck in the 19th century when it comes to sales. They should talk to people who actually know the hotel business and stop treating customers this shamefully.
