Hotel Rodavento

Really good hotel. The zip line was so much fun, definitely recommend it 👍🤩🤩

We stayed in Safari #47. It’s a bit of a hike up to the tent, and although nights were mostly quiet, road traffic could be heard regularly. The bed was comfortable, the shower nice, and the little terrace out front lovely. The grounds are beautiful, with nice furnishings and amenities. Staff were generally kind, but the activity desk couldn’t arrange the tour we wanted on our preferred day, which was disappointing. Food was very expensive and mostly poor, nowhere near worth the price. The pizza was undercooked, eggs benedict bland, and the platano dessert dry. Lattes were great, and the tiramisu was alright. The pool and jacuzzi didn’t seem to get cleaned often, with lots of dead bugs floating on the surface, though the jacuzzi temperature was great. I probably would have given five stars if the overall price hadn’t been so high.

We spent Friday morning at the spa, and it wasn’t crowded. There was a guide available just for you throughout your visit. The outdoor setup was beautiful, with a large hot tub, cool pool, a perfect swimming pool, and hot, dry sauna. Cut fruit was brought to our chairs, and the changing house was masterful. I can’t say enough about this place, and was sad to leave. The family celebrated my granddaughter’s birthday with a breakfast buffet first. Eggs were cooked to order, and any omelette was perfect. While we lounged, the little ones spent the morning in the beautiful main pool next to a small lake with paddle boards and small boats. The price was very reasonable. Just go!

The cabins were great, and we really enjoyed the spa and beautiful nature views. There are lots of activities for kids and adults, which made it a great family stay. It definitely feels like camping and being away from the city. There’s no TV in the room, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The one difficulty was that it’s definitely not stroller friendly.
