AGAM Hotel Boutique Bacalar - Adults Only

Issas and abril were excellent at their jobs and so helpful with everything. The staff were kind and accommodating in general. Breakfast had a good range to choose from, and the lake is about five minutes away. It's a beautiful place, very central, with bars and restaurants close by.

The location is handy, close to the centre of Bacalar. I liked the roomy public areas, with plenty of comfortable spots to sit or lounge, and the pool looks nice. Breakfast is small but enough, though I wish food were available after 10am. The simpler rooms are comfortable, but can feel a bit humid.

For a low-cost place to sleep while you're out all day, it may do, but the comfort just isn't there for me. The rooms are very small, poorly ventilated and uncomfortably damp, which really affects the stay. Some effort went into updating the decor, but that doesn't make up for the room conditions. Breakfast is extremely basic, about as minimal as it gets, and adds no real value. Better attention to the rooms could help, but right now it feels like a compromise.

Being able to use the sunbeds and space at yak lakehouse, plus the free bikes, was a great bonus. The location was great, the shared area was nice, and the rooms and breakfast were good. The staff were very kind. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.
