The receptionists were nice, which makes it a shame that the rooms were so gross. We changed rooms twice because they smelled damp and the walls leaked after rain, getting our electronics wet. In every room we were moved to, the sheets were stained and hadn’t been changed. It was pretty disgusting and definitely didn’t feel like a five-star hotel. Quite disappointing.

The rooftop was a great place to watch the sunrise over the lagoon and stargaze. There were also friendly surprise encounters with the resident cats in the garden, and the ecoparque mangrove boardwalk is really close by. A fantastic stay, along with all the other nice things people have already mentioned.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but they were friendly and let us walk around. They also helped us arrange tours and offered suggestions for Bacalar. A very cool place.

We had a lovely sailing trip on the laguna with them. The staff are really kind and helpful too, they helped us with ADO bus tickets and printed some papers for us. There’s a water tap, so you don’t need to buy bottles, which is a big plus. The hotel itself is comfortable, has good vibes, and is a really nice place to stay in Bacalar. Definitely recommend it.

It’s easy to get to the Laguna and town centre from here. The place was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and efficient.
