The room at the back was the cheap one, but it was a good size, with a decent shower and AC that worked well. The hotel itself isn’t especially flashy. What makes casa lúa great is being able to step straight out to the lagoon. The location is almost perfect. We loved our stay.

The staff were really friendly, and breakfast came with our stay. There’s a private dock, so getting into the lagoon is easy.

The food was a real highlight, especially breakfast, which was 10/10. The receptionist was super nice too, although he seemed to be the only staff member around day and night while we were there. We’d been looking forward to the tour, but it was cancelled. The facilities were disappointing. Water dripped from the room ceiling, the locks didn’t work properly, and the place still felt unfinished with construction underway. The parking lot was a joke, and the dock wasn’t great. I honestly can’t decide whether this deserves one star or five. With service that good, it could have been a great place to stay if the facilities had been in much better shape.

It’s peaceful, the beds are comfortable, the views are lovely, and the service and breakfast are both great. We stay here whenever we come back.

We loved the clean place and the staff, and we’re definitely coming back. Our breakfasts were included and delicious. The dock on the Laguna was beautiful for swimming and hanging out, and it’s a very pleasant walk into town.
