Casa Mexico Lindo - Boutique Hostel

It’s a very laid-back hostel, with mostly older travelers and little of a party atmosphere. There are lots of loungers and hammocks by the pool, which makes it a nice spot to spend time. Since it’s new, everything is in great condition, and it was very clean. The staff are super friendly and happy to explain what there is to do around town. It’s one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in, if not the nicest. This is personal preference, but I didn’t like the smell of the detergent used in the rooms. I’d have preferred something more fragrant. I also think the wall art looked AI-generated, and replacing it with work by a real artist would improve the vibe.

The staff are what set Casa Mexico Lindo apart. They helped me sort out my SIM card, found a private spot for a job interview, and even drove me to the bus station. You can tell they’ve put a lot of love into the place, and the events they arrange are great. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely, the AC is strong, the pool is nice, the Wi-Fi is good, and the kitchen is amazing. It’s not a party hostel. This is the best hostel I’ve stayed at. Please come, you won’t regret it!

Meeting people was easy here without the place getting loud or chaotic. It stays calm enough to relax while still feeling social. The staff were so kind and helpful, with good recommendations, and they helped arrange tours. I booked a boat trip and sunset and sunrise paddle sessions through the hostel, all organized perfectly and well worth it. Casa Mexico Linda is a wonderful place to stay in Bacalar. It’s a new hostel, and the care in the design and details really shows. Everything feels beautiful, clean, calm, and welcoming. The dorms are thoughtfully laid out, with thick curtains for real privacy, comfortable beds, and a strong sense of security throughout. The cute dogs and cats add to the homey feel. I’d absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely, well-run, welcoming place.

The pizza dinner was a definite highlight. The dorms are clean and nice, and the pool is great. There’s even a small gym area with good equipment. I found it easy to socialize, but could also have time to myself when I wanted. The people here make you feel welcome right away. Casa Mexico Lindo really deserves all its good reviews, and I hope to come back someday.
