Hotel Casa Pellegrin

I slept well here. It's a small, excellent hotel with a comfortable bed and room, a great shower, and a good location. The staff were friendly. Recommended.

We picked the hotel for its very good location, but staff tried to come into our room in the middle of the night. There was no way to secure the door. So much for the “safest” city. It was a bad experience.

My partner and I were asleep when someone tried to get into our room in the middle of the night. The door couldn't be secured, and it had to be hotel staff, since it could only be opened from outside with a key. A terrible experience.

The rooms were large and clean, the beds fantastic, and Fausto gave us unbeatable service. At the time, the hotel was still being renovated, so we didn't get to enjoy it as it is now, but it's beautiful. Best wishes to Fausto and his great friend from the workshop! We were apparently the first people to sleep there, before it had even officially opened, during our October 2018 trip. Our rental car broke down in Merida as we were leaving town. After stopping at a garage where they literally wanted to rip us off, we found the garage next to the hotel. They were kind and gave us incredible help. We needed to stay another night while the car was fixed, and the garage owner said his friend was opening a hotel in a few days and would ask if we could stay. He did, and Fausto showed us around the whole place and explained the decorations. Between him and his friend at the garage, they turned a terrible day into an exceptional one.
