Hotel Maya Dreams

Hotel Maya Dream is cozy and in a very convenient location. The room was neat and clean, and the pool was clean and refreshing. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Ruby at reception was amazing, spoke English, and was so helpful and generous. I'd recommend Hotel Maya Dreams and will definitely stay there again when I visit Bacalar.

I liked being among Bacalar's authentic little streets, with local people who greet you with a smile. There are lots of local restaurants nearby, much better than the more upscale places left in the center. The center is a 15-minute walk, or a taxi costs 30-40 pesos, which is very cheap. I actually prefer staying here and venturing in with the locals. The decor is lovely, and the facilities work well. Hot and cold water were both fine. There's a fan, air conditioning, drawers, blankets, and basic toiletries, just what you need. Cleaning is every two days, and they usually let you store your luggage. The breakfast was delicious, too. The staff were so friendly and welcoming that I felt right at home. I have fond memories of my stay, and to me, it's worth staying here. ❤️👌😊

The exterior is beautifully decorated, and the pool is superb. The rooms are basic but nice, with a fridge, which is a real luxury when you want cold water. The staff were wonderful, kind, and attentive. Fantastic hotel, highly recommend it!
