MBH Maya Bacalar Hotel Boutique

The family-friendly details made our stay easy. The staff made sure we had what we needed and even set up a floor mattress for the kids, who loved the room. The bed was super comfortable too. Thanks to MBH Maya Bacalar for hosting us. The place is cozy, beautiful, and private, and arranging room service and communicating through WhatsApp worked wonderfully for our family stay in Maya Riviera Bacalar.

There’s a beautiful deck right over the water, and you can use a paddleboard or kayaks. We also found the private pool cute and relaxing, and it was good for cooling off. The rooms were really nice, and the hotel sits in the middle of nature. Some people leaving lower-star reviews seem to expect Cancun or Florida conditions. This is a more remote part of the world, so there are some scary animals and maybe not every amenity is available. To me, that’s part of the charm and a reason to come.

The lagoon water was as clear as a swimming pool. We felt like we’d arrived in paradise, at a luxury boutique hotel in the middle of the Riviera Maya. The kitchen and cocktails were amazing!

The view from our room was great, but I thought the stay cost too much for that view. I’d been looking forward to the jacuzzi, then saw black stuff coming out of the jets.
