Fresh coffee, juice, and toast made for a nice start to the morning, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. It's a new, wonderfully tucked-away jungle spot with lagoon access, a large pool for later in the day after activities, and good security. Frank and his staff were gracious hosts. The road is a little crazy, but an SUV makes it easy and a car makes it an adventure. Come in via the road to Siete Cielos. I'd definitely visit again on my next trip this way.

Expect parrots, bats, lizards, and all kinds of birds. This is a place to get away from everything, with attentive staff and what felt like a private hotel in the jungle. The road is a bit rough, but it's better coming from the Bacalar direction. Don't trust Google Maps.

The main drawback for me was the drive from the main road. It's about 10 minutes or more each way, even though it's close, because the dirt road has potholes and you can only go around 10 km/h. The town center is about 25 minutes away, and the Maya Train station is 20 minutes away. The hotel is new and very nice, with spotless rooms and excellent service from everyone on staff. Breakfast is included, with eggs done different ways. I tried three kinds and liked the ones with a splash of milk best. The pool isn't heated, so it's usually hot almost year-round, but I went in January and the water was quite cold. I still enjoyed it. Lagoon access is across the small street on separate property, not part of the hotel grounds. It's at most about 100 meters away, and the area is very clean and well maintained.

Canelo the dog is a wonderful host 😍, and the staff are all so attentive. My family and I spent three nights at this peaceful hotel, away from the noise, and I'd definitely return. It's great for relaxing, with lagoon access, a lovely pool, and a restaurant serving delicious food. One suggestion: if you have guests' contact information, let them know to take the shorter route. Waze sent us along a very long and even risky way. Once you know the shorter route, getting in and out is quick. Congratulations to the whole hotel team! 👌🏽
