We paid 3860 pesos for two nights over Easter weekend, which felt ridiculous for such low quality. The room was basic and dusty, the bathroom and shower curtain were dirty, and the AC and hot water didn't work well. There was no TV and the Wi-Fi was awful. The dogs were nice, but I didn't like one jumping on my bed when they showed me the room. Breakfast was very basic: eggs, sausage, toast, runny beans, some fruit, coffee, and juice. On the first night we were woken by someone coughing for hours. Early the next morning, we realized a woman had slept in a hammock right by our headboard and was coughing. We didn't use the pool because it was dirty too.

Worst stay I've had in Mexico so far. There was black and white mold everywhere, lots of dead insects, and a dead frog under the bed. Green algae came out of the shower head, and the water was cold in the morning. The A/C didn't work properly either. On top of that, the owners' dog barked or played with a squeaky toy all day, which was really annoying. They asked us to pay cash despite accepting cards, probably to avoid taxes. I don't know if it was better before the COVID pandemic, but this place was a health risk, and we left as quickly as we could the next morning.

The 20-minute walk to the zócalo, the main plaza, and 15 minutes to the lagoon are manageable for the price. Great place to stay, and the breakfast was amazing.

It’s a decent enough place, and you don’t hear the busy dual carriageway from inside the rooms. Outside, though, the road noise is everywhere, including by the pool and breakfast area. Getting into town or to the lagoon safely means going by car, and the pool is smaller than it looks in the photos.

The place is run down, whatever the pictures suggest. The toilet wouldn’t flush, and there were mosquitoes all around.
