We were charged twice for the reservation, and they argued with us even after we showed our statement. Then we got locked out in the middle of the night, despite their claim that someone is there 24 hours. We had to climb the fence to get back into the hotel. The next day, the manager didn’t apologize and made it seem like being out so late was our fault. Horrible experience. DO NOT STAY HERE

We stayed in the junior suite, which had a fridge, a small stove, and a big balcony. The location is central, with a short, pleasant walk to most Bacalar amenities and attractions. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and took great care of both the hotel and its guests. I wouldn’t change a thing.

The free breakfast was delicious and generous, with pastries made in house. Our clean room had lots of space, a little kitchen for cooking in, and a lovely balcony where we could hear the sounds of town. It’s centrally located, within walking distance of the water, and they offer free parking. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely come again. My only wish is that the pillows were bigger.

Poza Clara was a lovely place, and it’s really close to good restaurants. The location near the town center was great, the room was clean, and the A/C worked wonderfully. I booked because parking was listed as available, but when we showed up at 2pm to check in, I was told the lot was full. We ended up parking on a narrow street nearby, which I wasn’t happy about since I’ve had a car hit while street parked before.

We had a great stay at Poza Clara. The superior balcony room was great, and the pool is nice around sundown. The bed is a little hard, but manageable. Restaurants and excursions are close by.
