Martha helped me get something I’d left behind back to tonalá, and I’m really grateful. The hut itself was extremely nice and had all the amenities. If you can, go in November. You might have the whole beach to yourself.

The cabin was nice, though it all seemed neglected and run-down. There were gutted fish floating dead in the lake, which smelled awful and wasn’t a pleasant sight. Getting there means taking a small boat, so pack light and be prepared to leave your car on the other side.

The owners were such warm, helpful people, and we were lucky to meet them. We lacked nothing in the spacious, lovingly decorated cabins. The peace, quiet, isolation, and incredible nature made this a place we’ll never forget. We had a wonderful time, and it’s a fantastic choice if you’re after something special.

The beach is incredible, and the temperature felt just right. We saw an impressive sunrise there. It’s a great place to step away from everyday life. Bring food, though. Even a simple meal is satisfying, and it’s a great spot for a weekend.

The infrastructure is good, and the facilities are pleasant and generally well maintained. Alejandro, the owner, wasn’t there but stayed attentive to what was going on, which I appreciated. The customer service, though, ruined the experience. From the start, the staff were unfriendly, and Martha and Porfirio in particular gave poor service. When I asked for better cleaning and pest control, they reacted with gestures and a bad attitude, then went so far as to ask me to leave for requesting basic cleaning and pest control. Cleanliness itself also left a lot to be desired.
