Grand Fiesta Americana Veracruz

Isa, who looked after our room, deserves a special thank you. She kept it spotless every day, was kind and attentive, and her positive attitude really mattered. Everyone else we met was warm and welcoming too, and made us feel at home. The hotel is beautiful and relaxing, and everything seemed well cared for. We ate very well, with delicious meals and lots of options. Our stay at Grand Fiesta Americana Veracruz was amazing from beginning to end. We highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Weekdays were almost perfect, with only a few minor details. Weekends are another story: day pass visitors come to use the amenities, the Wi-Fi collapses, and the noise gets intense. They treat the place like a water park, so hotel guests can't relax. Otherwise, it was great.

The pool, protected beach, and great service were highlights for our family of three kids and two grandparents. Eduardo, who served around the pool, was wonderful and shared local information, and Dora from housekeeping was a delight. The accommodations were fine, and there were no complaints from us. Plenty of staff spoke English, even though the hotel doesn't serve many English speakers. We enjoyed being among the few Americans at the resort. The price was fairly high, though we understand the beach area costs more than nearby places. The wedding held onsite was beautiful and expertly hosted. It made for an easy, enriching stay.

That nice beachfront is about the only thing that makes this seem like a four-star hotel. I'd put it closer to two stars. The Wi-Fi is awful and takes constant effort to keep connected. Room service is slow and expensive, and the food isn't good. The hotel keeps pestering you about joining its rewards program, knocking at night and calling both your room and personal number, even after you refuse. Rooms aren't properly cleaned before check-in either. Terrible value for the price. You'll be frustrated.
