Breakfast was lovely, and the location and price are both great. Some of the decor looks a little shabby and could use freshening up. They have safe valet parking. The restaurant shuts at 21:30, but there are plenty of food options nearby.

The smell was horrible, and we didn't have AC for the last two of the four nights we booked. The manager was never on duty to sort it out, and nobody apologized or followed up after we left. We were charged more just because we were from outlying areas, while locals got cheaper deals right in front of us. Horrible place to stay.

The staff were polite and accommodating, so I'd come back. The rooms were comfortable, and the restaurant inside was decent. There was construction going on, and I had to call a couple of times to get them to stop. I recommend sitting through their resort timeshare presentation for the free aquarium and museum tickets and breakfast. It's a little way from Centro, but the taxi rides were fun, and you can walk along the boardwalk if that's your thing.

We had a really good stay. The hotel has been fixed up and looks much better than it does in the older photos here. You can find good prices on Booking or by reserving directly through the phone number listed here. The staff are all very kind, and they can give useful recommendations if you ask.

The location was nice, close to the Veracruz's carnaval area and not too far from downtown amenities. From my room, I had a nice view of the water and boulevard both day and night.
