Nh Veracruz

The breakfast buffet was both expensive and bad, and the staff were painfully slow. My room had no towels, and getting some took forever. Reception was slow too, and it took ages to get my car. The room itself had a noisy air conditioner that couldn't keep a comfortable temperature, switching between freezing and sweltering. The hotel is well located, with spacious rooms and a good view. The pool isn't large, but it's comfortable, and getting to the beach is convenient. They could do much better by paying closer attention to details.

The beach and the staff's service were the best parts for us. The rest left a lot to be desired. The hotel is old, and restaurant prices are far too high for what you get. My Tampiqueña steak was terrible. They replaced it after I complained, but at those prices, I shouldn't have had to ask because of poor quality. The bathroom was awful: the fan didn't work, the shower faucet was broken and kept falling off, and the sink was clogged. The place badly needs maintenance. The pool water looked very dirty, and it didn't seem to be cleaned or treated, even for vacuuming the next day. Getting pool towels involved signing a voucher, which is normal, but we weren't allowed to take them to our room. It was a very windy day, and you'd think we'd be able to return to the room covered in towels, but we were told to leave them behind. If I'm signing a voucher for 300 pesos, I'll have to see whether I keep them! The towels were ugly, and sometimes there weren't any, so we had to wait. The Royal Mail people kept pressuring guests to buy a lousy package, and a lot of people fell for the tactic. Anyway, I won't come back and don't recommend it. Cheers

I always enjoy staying here. I like the attention and comfort, and the restaurant has good service. The gym and pool are nice too, and the ocean view is great.

What they show online doesn't match what you find at the hotel. It's neglected, with poor service and even worse maintenance. The air conditioners are noisy and leak, and the cleaning is very poor.
