Bora Boutique

We had a great five-day stay. The room was big, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the dark curtains helped. There was no noise from traffic, dogs, or roosters, and the staff were very friendly. The only thing missing was a mini-fridge in the room. It’s a bit far from the beaches and restaurants, so you’ll definitely want a scooter to get around.

The property was misrepresented. It was unclean, badly maintained, and had ongoing maintenance problems. The place was grubby and dusty, the pool was full of bugs, and there were stains on the pillows, towels, and all the outdoor furniture. This did not meet boutique hotel standards. Lower your expectations if you stay here. Their WhatsApp customer service uses AI, which was highly irritating while I was trying to get a refund. They passed responsibility back and forth with Booking.com. Booking.com gave us a small amount of compensation, but we’ll keep pursuing the matter because this is gross misrepresentation.

Having our own little terrace, with very comfortable seats and such a peaceful feel, was the best part. We especially loved the fishbowl, guacamole, hamburgers, and French toast. The hotel’s food is good, though for more variety I’d take a taxi to La Punta. The hotel is a bit remote, so a quad, car, or scooter can be useful, but taxis are easy and affordable at around 100 pesos per ride. We initially booked just a few nights at Bora boutique, then extended our stay twice because we loved it so much. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place with stunning rooms and a gorgeous bathroom. The mattress was incredibly soft, even more comfortable than my bed at home. The pool was fantastic, very clean and well maintained, just like the rooms. Housekeeping was excellent, with fresh towels and a spotless room, and the ladies working at the hotel were so kind and welcoming. We highly recommend Bora boutique and would love to return.

There are only 14 rooms, which gives the hotel a cozy, peaceful feel. It’s quiet here, a little away from the center, and the staff are super nice. We had a 10pm flight on our last day and were able to keep our room until we left, since nobody was following us. The pool was clean and refreshing, and the place was lit up perfectly at night. I had a great three-day stay and totally recommend it!
