Casa Gardenias

The staff are friendly, though language can get in the way. The location is good, within walking distance of the marina and neither too close nor too far. The area feels safe, and the front door is locked after hours. The rooms are small, and so are the beds. The TV was probably around 24 inches, the smallest I've seen in a long time. There are no chairs, just the bed, a dresser, and two side tables. The internet worked great in room #6, where the router was right there, but didn't work at all in room #3. It can get loud when people speak loudly, and the makeshift elevator is very noisy. Someone used it around 7:30 in the morning and woke me up. There's also a dog outside that barks a lot. Breakfast was great. I expect the other meals are probably good too, though we weren't there to try them. Overall, it wasn't a bad place to stay, but you do get what you pay for.
