Country Club Relaxing Suite Pool

The views are spectacular, the rooms are good, and the employees are super awesome. The maids are courteous and helpful, and the staff seem motivated and happy, which says a lot about the boss. The owner is fun-loving and business-oriented, and I love hanging out here every day. It’s a great place for New Year 2026. For my vacation, relaxing with a good view and using the hot tub are the most important things. Please fix it. Reviews from years ago said it was broken, and it needs a heater. Has it been fixed or replaced? A hot tub should be hot, with working jets for stimulation and healing. It’s not a bathtub for children. 😱 I hope it’s ready for 2026 travelers to enjoy.

The lobby felt open and inviting, the staff were friendly, and the housekeepers were nice and did a good job with our room. We were there over Christmas, though, and construction started very early every morning. Staff described the place as run down and said they were working to improve it, but that years of work remained. I was also told by multiple staff that our building had had no maintenance for 20+ years and was next to be torn down. If you’re considering investing, they’ll oversell you their dream. The pool wasn’t somewhere I wanted to relax or hang out. It looked like it hadn’t been maintained for 20 years, the “slide” is like a cheese grater, and the hot tub seemed to have been out of commission for a long time. They were also bringing in cruise ship guests to use the pool for the day, which felt like grasping for any money. The beds were very, very hard and uncomfortable. Definitely not a 4+ star property. The golf course was fairly nice, and we played twice. My clubs got lost, so my husband played alone the first day, and they charged me to ride along. An Uber to downtown was only $6-7.

The room and food were very good, and I liked the drinks too, though the wine selection fell a bit short. We also golfed. I know the golf wasn’t directly affiliated, but we had several issues, which was unfortunate. For the prices, I don’t think they should have been handled that way.

The grounds outside are beautiful, so we really wanted to like this place. The room let us down badly, though. It felt like a local 1-star motel, not a premium resort, and the online photos were misleading. Maintenance seemed nonexistent: half the kitchen light bulbs didn’t work, and ants were crawling all over the counters. The bathroom was worst of all, with an ancient-feeling toilet and no shower door, so water spilled everywhere when we showered. It felt like stepping back in time. As a Wyndham Diamond member, I also had my perks ignored. Save yourself the regret and stick to a Hyatt or Hilton if international standards are what you want.
