I spent a month here during the pandemic and had no problems. As an American, I felt very safe. Casa del Cono's family were friendly and helpful, and I had a place to cook and prepare my meals. It felt like an oasis. It's about 20 minutes from centro, but you pass all the big shopping stores on the way. There's a Collectivo out front for less than $2 that takes you downtown. I've stayed and lived in Cabo, Cabo San Jose, La Paz Mulege, Ensenada, Tijuana, and all over mainland Mexico. For the price, this is one of the best deals I've had in my seven years in Mexico. A great deal!

The dirt road leading there was in rough shape, but the hotel itself was nice and very clean. Service was perfect, and the staff were a big help.

We spent three days there, and my car stayed parked outside the whole time with no problems. The location may seem unusual, but it's very safe. A super friendly, attentive young man helped us, and the rooms were very clean and well-equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, and induction cooktops. They also have a pool and a pool table 🤩. Definitely 100% recommended. 👌👌👌

After waiting outside for half an hour for a reply, I left when a man started kicking up clouds of dust with his ATV. A local boy was also doing wheelies and raising dust. The owners respond very late, and they send a two-page rulebook that's more suited to a much better place. The exterior is hideous, and the photos never show it. I regret not taking pictures. The location is terrible, on the outskirts, far from everything, in a rundown, highly marginalized area with an unpaved dirt road. It's the worst place I've found on Airbnb. It isn't magical at all, just horrible. The other reviews on Google, including the three I saw, are fake and completely false. Stay away.
