The best part is the views, and the pool area was great. The resort is well located, with very clean grounds and a tidy room that had all the amenities we needed. Everyone we met on staff was friendly and helpful, and I loved that the pool wasn't full of chlorine. Highly recommend it. A couple of things to know: local cable and Wi-Fi services aren't very reliable, and there are lots of stairs to get to the top, so it may not suit you if stairs are a problem. The staff will carry your bags up to your room, though, and they were great.

If you're after a place to relax in Los Cabos without overpaying, I'd recommend this one. It's affordable, with spacious villas rather than a luxury hotel feel. Our two-bedroom villa had a full bathroom for each bedroom, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and a large balcony. It was cleaned daily, and the pool was well maintained. There's gated parking, and the marina is an easy walk away. There are a few steps to climb to reach your villa. After a few days, it actually felt like a good workout. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and even did my laundry for a reasonable price. Just remember, this isn't a five-star luxury hotel.

The self-contained units were clean, and the staff were amazingly friendly. It's near everything around the marina, including some great restaurants. There's round-the-clock security, and a great pool, though it isn't heated. I'd recommend staying here.

The Portofino Resort has been in Cabo San Lucas since 1992 and is Canadian operated. It only leases space to the sales company you mentioned; the resort has no affiliation with it. We’re troubled by your comments. Please contact the resort directly and we can refer you to the sales company’s owner. We respectfully ask that you remove your Google comment.

I believe this place is connected to one of the biggest scams around. They may try to take your timeshare through legal means without giving you anything, and the attorney running it is very savvy. I can’t understand the positive reviews here. I suspect they were posted by the people involved. Check Trip Adviser. You’ve been warned.
