We never had a bad meal during the whole week, and the service from Julio is a big reason we kept coming back. He was our server the first time, and we enjoyed his humor and friendly manner so much that we returned whenever he was working. The food is excellent. I especially liked the beef tenderloin, the best steak I’ve had in 30 years. The calamari is a good start, and the shrimp Caesar salad, garlic shrimp, and ribs all sounded like excellent choices, too. I highly recommend this place.

The resort involves a lot of walking, and The Ridge is uphill, which makes it hard for older guests to reach. Getting to the restaurants for meals means taking a long walk and climbing roughly 50 to 100 steps, with no elevator. There’s no water provided and no fountains anywhere in the resort, which I couldn’t believe. I had asked not to be placed near Marina because reviews mentioned noise, but our room was nearby and loud music went on until 4 AM on Friday and Saturday. The staff seemed indifferent and didn’t offer help. The front desk was especially unhelpful and discourteous. I felt treated like a source of money, with no human touch, and had a very poor experience.

It used to be more convenient when the previous company owned it. The 'back' made it easy to get into town, but now the trip takes a good 20 minutes.

The views are incredible. Look one way and you see the Sea of Cortez and Marina, then turn around for a clear view of the Pacific ocean. It feels like you’re on Top of the world. The resort pays to keep Cruise ships from blocking the view. The bar and restaurant staff are top-notch. Thanks, Racielle, for the welcoming smile, fun spirit, professionalism, and excellent service.

I couldn’t sleep at all in a Ridge room overlooking the harbor. The Mayan Monkey rooftop bar plays music at outdoor-concert volume every night until 5 AM. Avoid those rooms unless you’re planning to stay up all night.
