After dinner, Carlos took the time to tell us about the hotel’s history and show us around the property. He was a great reflection on the hotel and IHG, and we really appreciated it. From the welcome to the recommendations and timely, flawless professional service, he made the evening special. We had dinner at Hacienda Puerta Campeche, and it was absolutely wonderful. The food, atmosphere, and service were all fantastic. The food quality was impeccable, and it was great value for the magnificent setting. Thank you so much, we’ll return!

The bed was comfortable and the pool was nice, and the location worked well. But the rooms felt dark, and the walls were thin. Breakfast was bad: cold food, terrible coffee, and slow service. The waiter brought the salt and pepper only after we’d finished eating. For a 5-star hotel I expected much more, though it may still be the best option in Campeche because there isn’t much competition.

The rooftop patio has great views, and the pool is unusual and fun. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished, and breakfast at the restaurant was good. The hotel is right by the city wall gate on calle 59, so the restaurants and shops are an easy walk away.

The beds were very comfortable, and our room had plenty of old colonial character. The pool really is as lovely as it looks in the pictures. We had a great stay at this charming, beautifully arranged hotel at the end of Campeche’s most famous street.

Augusto at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly, and the staff overall were wonderful. The rooms are large and clean, and the place feels authentic and unique. It does need some TLC, including the lovely rooftop terrace. Breakfast, the only meal we had there, was just okay. The location is perfect for spending a few days in Campeche, though calling it part of Marriott’s “luxury” brand feels like a stretch. We’d stay again.
