Ambiance Suites Cancun

The rooms are large, though the beds are a little too hard for me. There are coffee makers in the rooms, but you have to buy coffee packets at the front desk. The TV did not work. I called down twice, but they still did not fix it. It is about a 15-minute walk to the beach.

When I arrived, two people were lying on the ground outside the hotel drinking. My room was disgusting and filthy. Nothing worked, including the toilet, TV, and air conditioning. The couch was covered in stains, and there were stains on the bed along with holes in the sheets and pillows. The walls were dirty too. I will include photos with this review. The hotel smelled of mold. I asked the front desk to move me, and they did, but the second room smelled moldy as well. I left before the night was over and booked another hotel. I was traumatized and hoped to get my money back, but they ignored my refund request. Nobody has responded to me since. I went in February for my birthday. Worst birthday ever! Do not book this hotel through Mystery Vacations or Weekend Getaways. It is all a scam!

If I could give them zero stars, I would, but that option is not available. Here is why. 1. We requested an 11 a.m. early check-in after a long overnight flight from Canada, but they said the room was not ready. We tried to nap by the pool, but it was chaotic. At 3 p.m. they made us wait longer, saying the room still was not ready, even though check-in is at 3. They finally let us in at 3:45. 2. The next day we asked for two small bottles of water, like the ones they gave us on our first day. They said they only provide them once, then tried to sell us water. When we asked what would happen if we checked out and checked back in, they could not answer. 3. We asked to borrow a bottle opener for five minutes. They said the hotel did not have one. Unbelievable. 4. There were no power outlets beside the beds, which made charging miserable. 5. The bathroom trash can pedal would not open, so we had to lift it by hand. Gross. 6. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee beans or filters. Overall, it was a bad stay. Please avoid it if you can.

I would tell people not to book here because you do not know what kind of room you will get. The first room they gave me had no air conditioning. This room has mold everywhere and mildew on the curtains, and they say there is no other room they can move me to. The staff were talking about me in Spanish behind the counter, apparently not realizing I can understand and translate it easily. The service is horrible and unprofessional. Whoever wrote the five-star reviews must work here. This place is disgusting.
