The balcony, washer and dryer with soap provided, white sand beach, and location were the things we enjoyed most. The shower was lovely, and the staff we met by the pool and beach were friendly and helpful. Still, I don't think the price was worth it. As a Bonvoy silver member, I chose the hotel for its location, but although I booked a one-bedroom room, we got what felt like a dressed-up studio, which was really disappointing. The bed was much too soft, and the breakfast buffet didn't suit us: limited international options, mostly American tastes, and not the best quality. The property is huge, with multiple pools and a lovely beachfront, but it was easy to get lost because the signs weren't clear enough. Beach and pool chairs at the front were all taken before 7:30 am, even though nobody used them until much later. Twice in five days I saw a film of something on the pool water, probably tanning lotion mixed with spilled drinks, so I think it needs more frequent cleaning. The old, slow elevators made us give up and take the stairs. There was no water in the room at all, which shocked me since even three-star hotels provide it. They should offer free drinking water at the pool in that heat. A Marriott property in UAE had a free still and sparkling water dispenser all day, the best pool amenity I've ever had. Finally, I wish they'd stop trying to sign us up for the vacation club. We just wanted a relaxing holiday.

We love this resort in Mexico and consider it a gold standard for resorts on the strip. The facilities are plentiful and very clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. We see familiar faces year after year. The food and drinks are good, though it's worth heading off the resort to try nearby restaurants too.

April 2026. We spent four days at this hotel, and my husband and I both loved it. The service was excellent, from reception to room service, everyone was friendly, accommodating, and always smiling. Our room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful ocean view, a full kitchen, and even a washer and dryer. We loved the pools and all the room on the beach. We didn't try the hotel food, though the prices seemed fair. There were activities for entertainment, and right across from the hotel there's a lovely shopping mall with lots of restaurants and shops, which was really convenient. It's a quiet, peaceful place for a family stay, and the price is super affordable. I'd definitely return!

The pools were excellent, clean, and very well kept. I'd put them among the best I've experienced at Marriott properties. Food was average, nothing memorable, but about what you'd expect for hotel prices and quality. The property feels more like a timeshare resort than a traditional hotel, and the age of the buildings shows. That affects the guest experience, especially the customer service, which often felt transactional. Staff seemed focused on following policy instead of making the stay better. For instance, on a 10-night booking at around $600 a night, we could still be assigned an obstructed view even though we'd booked an ocean-view category. That may be within policy, but there was little interest in accommodating us, which was disappointing at that price. The towel setup was similarly rigid, one card per towel with no exceptions. It all feels geared toward guests used to timeshare stays. I wouldn't return, and it's made me reconsider Westin as a brand.
