Hotel Parador Cancun

I had a really nice stay. The hotel is about a two-minute walk from the ADO terminal, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. There’s also a city shuttle that takes you right to the beach strip. The staff were friendly and helpful. After checkout they looked after my luggage for hours so I could wander around until it was time for my flight. Prices are very reasonable, and I strongly recommend the place.

For the price, it’s perfect for a night or two. The room has AC and a TV, and WiFi costs an extra 400 pesos. My only complaint: there was a sign for a restaurant, but I couldn’t find one.

This place badly needs renovating. Part of the window had been replaced with plastic, which did nothing to block the live band playing right downstairs. The shower looked very old, and there was no hot water.

I had planned to stay here for three weeks, but I left completely disappointed and booked another hotel. I lost my money on this booking. I went in at 2 AM to make a reservation and paid for two days. After more than an hour dealing with the receptionist, who I believe was named alejandra, she told me check-in wasn’t until 3 PM. I’d explained that I needed to stay there, but she didn’t care. They took my money, and that seemed to be all that mattered to them. Terrible customer service. This hotel is a rip-off, and management should do something about that receptionist, or fire her.
