Condominio Girasol Zona Hotelera

We even found a cockroach in the bed, and the photos look nothing like the real place. The service was awful, too. One pool wasn't working, the furniture was old and dirty, the sinks leaked, and there was no hot water. The towels looked dingy and the sheets were stained. For what it costs, you don't get what you pay for. The cleanliness was terrible.

The sea view was lovely, and the room we moved to was a little better, with better air conditioning and a better bathroom. But our first room at Girasol Condominiums, where we arrived on July 7th, was awful. The bathroom was tiny and smelled like sewage. The towels were stained with red and yellow dye and smelled terrible. We told Fabiola we didn't like the room. She seemed surprised, even though we'd paid for three nights, then showed us pictures of another room on the floor and said we could move there for the second night if we liked it. We stayed eight and nine nights in the end, but the place still didn't feel worth what we paid, and we won't return. The food sold in the restaurant downstairs by the pool was disgusting. The hamburgers were burnt and tasted like rocks. Fabiola never apologized, and we didn't see her again. We only paid for the days we stayed, and she never returned. The woman who helped carry one suitcase when we arrived had a terrible temper. The photos they use don't reflect the place at all. I don't recommend it.

The staff were generally very friendly, and I loved being right on the beach with such a wonderful view. The condo itself is very small, though, and the balcony doors are really hard to open.
