We were a couple at this kid-friendly resort and still loved it. The food, service, and cleanliness were all top notch, and we had plenty of vegetarian choices. Coco Cafe was our favorite, and every restaurant was very good. The windy weather caused an issue because our door wasn’t sealed properly, so we slept badly the first night. They fixed it promptly and checked in a couple of times afterward to make sure it was sorted. Highly recommend.

Dreams Vista felt wonderfully peaceful, tucked among residential condos and homes, with the hotel zone visible across the water. I’ve been to Cancún four times, and this was by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at. My fiancé and I were impressed from arrival by how welcoming the staff were and how clean the resort was. They all made an extra effort to make our stay memorable. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The chefs are talented enough that I’d feel confident ordering anything. Although it’s family-friendly, the resort still felt adults-only, even with the children’s water park near the main pool. There was plenty of seating there all day, and people weren’t reserving loungers at 7am. The beach was small but lovely, with no seaweed. The Preferred Club rooftop pool and restaurants were amazing and so boujie. For the modest extra cost, the added experience and value were an easy choice. The robes and shower were the best I’ve ever experienced. It was a tranquil, five-star luxury stay, and we can’t wait to return.

We spent four great days here, with good service and plenty of food and drink choices. The location made it convenient to get into the city, and the Isla Mujeres Ferry is within walking distance if you want to go on foot. Vista taco bar was our favorite place for lunch. There was plenty of poolside seating during our stay. They offer activities through the day and evening; we didn’t join in, though we did watch one show. We took an afternoon trip to Playa Norte on Isla Mujeres, which was beautiful. We didn’t swim at the hotel’s small beach because the water was cloudy with sand and seaweed. They’ll pitch you their vacation club, but we politely declined and they didn’t keep pushing.

The staff were nice and friendly, but for the price this resort needs a lot of work before I’d consider it five-star. Food was underwhelming everywhere, room service was below average or just bad, and the buffet was a disaster. The room barely had any snacks or drinks: one small tequila a day, one mini bag of chips, and one M&M, with no other alcohol. Those were the cheapest room snacks I’ve seen at a five-star all-inclusive. We paid for Preferred to use the rooftop pool, but it crowded quickly and had few tanning chairs. The only beds for two people cost extra, so why pay for Preferred and then get charged more? Our large group checked in at different times as couples, and each couple was quoted a different upgrade price. We had to reserve restaurant spots and good luck getting the time you want. The coffee shop’s coffee was decent, but the pastries were left out to dry. Beach seating was very limited. The whole resort felt like a wind tunnel. We were there in March, which is known to be windy, but when we left the hotel each day we found it wasn’t like that a few blocks away. You can get much better for the price.

As we wrap up seven days here, I’m trying to hold on to the last bit of sunshine and warmth before heading back to cold Canada. The Dreams Vista team made us feel especially welcome throughout our stay. The food at all the resort restaurants was amazing, and there were plenty of great drinks. A special thank you to Mario Camara at the Blue Water Grill rooftop and our room maid, Aristela, for keeping everything clean and tidy. Excellent resort, and I can’t wait to come back 😊.
