La Palma Hotel & Club Nautico

The location is just perfect, right beside my favorite and most beautiful beach in Cancun. You get the boutique hotel basics that are plenty for a visitor: water in the room, beach towels, air conditioning, and more. There's also a nice private pool to relax by, sun beds, and beach access right from the room. Of all the hotels and Airbnbs I looked at in the area, this had the best price for what you get. If you want a good beach stay with your pick of restaurants and activities, this is the place. The hotel is directly across from a supermarket and the bus station, where you can catch the airport bus.

We chose La Palma because it was a short distance from the wedding we were going to at Hyatt Ziva. My husband and I loved it, no complaints. We could walk everywhere and didn't need an Uber or taxi. Food isn't included, but across the street there's a plaza with the best tacos at "Tacos Rigo". Super Chedraui is across the street too, and you can eat there. The hotel is right in front of the beach with a beautiful view. The small pool was really nice and clean, the rooms were clean, and there was hot water. There was no blow dryer or iron. It's tiny, only 9 rooms, and perfect for couples or a short stay. Best 3 day weekend ever.

For the price, the location is AMAZING, and the staff were super helpful and nice. The room was clean. The water heater seemed really small, though, so a warm shower lasted only 5 minutes if you were lucky. The room wasn't very spacious, the view was of a rusty alleyway, and the neighbors were loud. Still, you really can't beat it for the price!

The beach was beautiful, with lovely sand and water, and we liked our stay here for a couple of days with my girlfriend. It's right on the beach in a busy area, so it's definitely not quiet, but we didn't mind. Check-in was easy, and despite plenty of people around the beach, it felt as if we were the only guests with a room. Our room was very good, though it had no view and a few minor things could be improved. The window was a little ajar and wouldn't fully close. The shower temperature was touchy to adjust, and the coffee in the small lounge was cold in the morning. There was no fridge in the room, though there was one in the lounge that nobody seemed to know about. The listing mentioned a pool, but I've never seen a smaller or sadder hotel "pool." It was more like a fountain, and the water was freezing. It didn't matter much with the beach right there, but I think they should leave it out of the description. These were minor issues, though worth mentioning. Would we stay again? Yes, but maybe we'd try for a room with a view next time.
