Las Gardenias

The rooms still have air conditioning, a smart TV, and a hot shower, and the bed in my latest room was okay, though not especially comfortable. This was my third stay this year, and the first two were better. The room price went up by 50 pesos, which I understand, but the included breakfast was ridiculous. On day one, we got two coffees without being asked what we wanted, plus two slices of bread and an egg. The next morning it was two slices of toast, and they asked whether we wanted juice or chocolate milk. Coffee apparently wasn't included that day. On the third day, the bread was very dry and the omelette seemed to have about half an egg in it. When I asked for juice, I was told it wasn't allowed with the “free” breakfast, so we got two chocolate milks. One receptionist is extremely loud. He shouts while talking and keeps his phone on speaker, shouting back at whoever is on the other end. Friends or family also come by in the afternoon, and they get loud until around 11 pm. He doesn't seem friendly, either. If you go to bed early, ask for an upstairs room.

The receptionists were very helpful, and the rest of the staff were friendly. My room had reliable Wi-Fi, which worked well for remote work or watching movies, along with a properly working fridge and air conditioning. It was a clean, comfortable hotel.

Really clean, nice place, with great staff, good prices, and food. 100% recommended. And Charles Abreu, you probably expected things to be that way because you came to Cancun from the USA and went to speculate on where Cuban people, after all their sacrifice, go to buy things to take to Cuba and make some money so they can live better. He is probably one of the Cubans from Miami who have nothing and work only to go to Cuba and feel like a king. Speculating like that, you need to grow up.

The location is handy, near shops and the bus station, but the beds were poor and I couldn't sleep. A pump kept making noise all night, every five seconds.
