The staff were nice, but the hotel itself isn’t. We stayed one night during a longer booking. The blind was broken, there were big gaps around the door, and the bathroom was far too small for old, fat people like me. It’s in an industrial area. I asked for a refund and was told to contact Expedia since I booked through them. Expedia tried, but the hotel never responded.

The room was on the small side, but cozy and clean. Staff were friendly and did their best to help despite the language barrier. Parking on the property was convenient and felt safe. The location worked well for us: Marcado 23 and Soriana are within walking distance, and the Ultramar ferry is 3.2 km away. The vibe was very relaxed.

For the price, this is a decent hotel. The room was clean, though the bathroom was a little small, and they didn’t provide body wash or shampoo. The WiFi was too slow and kept disconnecting somehow. I think it’s worth what you pay. I’d stay again if I rented a car.

The Soy Local staff really made the difference for us. The hotel is downtown, with a mini fridge and TV in the room, and suits anyone who wants to stay close to downtown instead of at a resort. The staff were fantastic. The only downside was that we had no WiFi. We ended up chatting with each other instead of staring at our devices.

The staff were fabulous, and it’s a great place for the price. I’d consider coming back. Some upkeep is needed, including maintenance for the pool furnishings and a bit of work on the rooms, but it’s still acceptable given the cost.
