Sunset Lagoon, Cancún, Mexico

Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a jacuzzi that made it feel extra relaxing. The staff, including Gonzalo, Luis, Lizeth,Paloma, Norma, and everyone else, were welcoming and genuinely wanted to make our stay special. They arranged a late checkout and a full-day pass for us, which made it easy to enjoy our last day without stress. The food exceeded our expectations, with a good range of Mexican, Spanish, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Italian dishes. Everything we tried was delicious. The Asian restaurant stood out for its flavorful food, à la carte options, and Asian bar experience with a fun knife show. We also liked having access to three other properties by shuttle bus or water taxi, which gave us more places to explore. We could relax by the pool, go kayaking, or visit the ocean for a different beach experience. A wonderful stay with great service, food, and activities. I’d definitely return to Sunset Marina Resort & Yacht Club.

We’d booked Sunset Marina Yacht Club, but it was overbooked and we were “upgraded” to another Sunset property. We still got to spend a full day here and really enjoyed it. The pool area had a relaxing vacation feel, with a swim-up bar, and the staff were friendly and attentive, checking whether we needed anything. The atmosphere was social and welcoming. The food was delicious, much better than at Sunset Royal Beach Resort. We also enjoyed a special Women’s Day massage on March 8, a lovely touch from the hotel. We really liked this place and would recommend it.

The place is stunning, with white stucco adobe-style buildings next to the marina and yacht club. The decor is beautiful, lots of marble gives it a luxe feel, and it’s quiet with great air conditioning. There are many amenities, plus a pizzeria, Caribbean restaurant, Japanese restaurant, buffet, pool bar, and activities for all. Boat and bus shuttles are available, and there are convenience stores nearby. There’s even a site for seaside weddings, and a hot tub in the room and by the ocean. The food and service were fantastic, and the resort was so clean. The cleaning staff were super nice. Captain jose luis was great, Luis at the pizza restaurant was an exceptional server, and Chef omar and ada at teppanyaki were fantastic and made it so fun. Concierge veronica was very helpful, as were flor and Rosalina at check-in. Definitely worth trying!

The Spanish menu was the highlight for us, and we were happy with the food throughout. The service and atmosphere were great too. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. Highly recommend! 🌸
