The apartment has the kitchen, tables, and other basics you need, though the design isn't especially impressive. For the location, the price is very attractive, and depending on what you're after it could be a good option to recommend. The pool area is beautiful and made for relaxing, and the beach is lovely too.

The sunrise, the pools, and access to one of the most beautiful beaches were such a blessing. I spent a week at my friend's Airbnb after a week at Grand Coral Americana, and after another week exploring Merida and Valladolid. The guards were among the friendliest people, and I stayed in touch with them. They do ask where you're staying to check you're not just a transient. There are some beach loungers guests can use, but not many. We paid $350 for an all-day beach lounger and umbrella. The pool bar's food choices are limited but decent, and he makes a mean frozen mango margarita. He even gave us the extra that wouldn't fit in the cup. PLAZA KUKULCAN, nice restaurants, coffee, and a Soriana grocery store are close. Just amazing.

Every visit to Villas Marlin 2 has been excellent, and I've stayed there several times. The condo is comfortable, well maintained, and just as described, with a great location. Dr Oscar is an outstanding host. I recommend Villas Marlin 2 for a stay in Cancun.

The pools, hotel, and beach access were perfect, but the security guards made the stay miserable. They hovered over everything, waiting for guests to break rules nobody had explained. We were told not to hang a towel outside to dry, keep sandals about a foot from our chairs by the pool, hold my young child on a chair, play any kind of pool game, or move a pool chair. They were constantly talking on their walkie-talkies while watching us. There are cameras everywhere. We first found that reassuring while traveling with kids, but it seems the property is more concerned with policing guests. After spending thousands of dollars for two weeks, all access ended as soon as our reservation did. Our group had people staying longer, so we put our bags in their room and planned to use the beach and pools until our 8:00 PM flight. Checkout was at 11:00, and we'd left our room and moved our things before then. By noon, the guards knew our booking had ended and kicked us out, leaving us in the lobby. Other places we've stayed have let departing guests use the facilities until their flight. We would never come back.
