Hotel Madan Cardenas

Getting here is easy since it’s right off the highway, and there’s a good little restaurant on site. The room service was good, and the dog friendly policy and locked, secure parking were big pluses. I did find the bed and pillows hard and uncomfortable, though.

We slept comfortably in a very clean room. Downstairs, the restaurant had tasty food at reasonable prices. There was secure parking too, so we didn’t have to worry about the things in the back of our vehicle. The place is pet friendly.

I never ended up staying here. The girl at the front desk was so rude when I asked to see a room before deciding. She just handed me a lousy picture and said I could look at the rooms there. The restaurant, though, is awesome. Everything I ordered was delicious and reasonably homemade tasting, especially the tortillas. And the CONCHAS are something else, homemade Mexican bread filled with cream cheese. I expected the flavor to be too much, but it wasn’t. You’ve got to try this bread when you visit.

The air conditioning was nice and cold, and I enjoyed the food at the hotel restaurant. They also serve alcohol. My one caution is the bottled water left in the room, which has the hotel logo. Don’t drink that madan bottled water. The hotel was good otherwise, but that’s why I’m giving it four stars instead of five.
