Friendly staff and reasonable prices. The facilities are simple but clean, with the choice of camping or staying in a cabin. It's a lovely place to enjoy nature. Recommended.

The rooms were dirty, and the beds were very uncomfortable. Still, there are some lovely things about the place: Felix is very friendly, the surroundings are beautiful, and the night sky is clear. From the lookout you can see the sunrise, macaws, Sontecomapan Lagoon, and the sea. We also ordered breakfast one day, and it was delicious, especially with the handmade tortillas.

The setting is beautiful, but the photos don't show how awful the rooms are. We stayed in the cabin called "Madriguera" (Buggery), which felt more like a room in an annex. We chose it because it was the only one available, and we hadn't been given room photos. It smelled strongly of damp, the mattresses looked like they'd come from the trash, the pillows were ridiculously thin and stained, and the blankets smelled bad enough that we suspected they hadn't been changed or washed. The bathroom sink barely had any water pressure. When we mentioned it, the owner's response was, "Well, take it with you." There was no hot water in the rooms either. The only hot shower was in the shared garden. We stayed three days and two nights, and nobody came to clean. Mr. Félix, the owner, greeted us and laid out the rules, including not making noise and taking our trash with us because, he said, the garbage truck doesn't come to town. But guests in the next room played music until 2 a.m. on our first night, and nobody asked them to quiet down. Mrs. Antonia and Félix seemed to pay no attention to guests. If you need something, you have to search for them and hope they're around. There's no cell service, and the Wi-Fi only works at the lookout. Félix gave us the password, then kept sending other guests to ask us for it, though providing it was his responsibility as host. We grilled food, and he asked us to leave some for breakfast. We thought he was joking, but the next morning he came by to ask whether we'd left his food. When we were leaving, we'd already packed our small bag of trash, and the owner came out with a huge bag of rubbish from the other guests and told us to take it too. Don't be fooled.

I love being close to nature, and the place really is surrounded by it, but staying there wasn't comfortable. We were there on Saturday, and the cabins were in poor condition, with all kinds of animals getting inside. We found two scorpions in ours. Another guest who complained had a bat, a tarantula, and more scorpions show up. I think the cabins need some maintenance. My honest advice is to avoid the risk and find somewhere else.

A one of a kind stay if you're looking to disconnect.
