We were so well received by everyone that we ended up adding another night. There were three adults and four dogs in our group, and the hospitality was outstanding. The beach is less than a block away, and having a guaranteed palapa spot there was so convenient. Breakfast came with the stay and was delicious. The restaurant food was great too, with very good service and reasonable prices.

The town's sunsets were beautiful, but I didn't find the people friendly, and the atmosphere didn't feel family-oriented. It's a shame the beach is so underused, since the town and its people made it hard to enjoy the destination. Without those things, it could be an excellent place for tourists. Our room itself was the worst I've ever stayed in. There was no bedside light, and we found feces from “something” in the bathroom and under the nightstand, plus disgusting female hair all over the room. The advertised king-size bed was two single mattresses shoved together and badly made. The windows faced a shared courtyard, with hotel cleaning staff passing by constantly, so privacy meant keeping the light off. There was construction across from the room, with bricklayers working from 7 a.m. If you want to sleep, bring earplugs. Opening the window meant being watched by the workers. The toilet had only a short wall between it and the bed, so if you needed privacy, your partner would have to wait outside. The shower temperature wouldn't adjust, and the pressure was like a car-wash hose. We joked that it could strip rust off a sunken ship. Given the high price, those problems might have been bearable if the hosts, Laura and another male, had listened to our complaints. Instead, they were rude and patronizing and couldn't fix anything. What I liked best was Laura making clear that guests were expected to put up with feces and human hair in their rooms.

Hello everyone. I'm still not over the awful place where I was scammed one Christmas. The Spanish receptionist was the most pedantic person I've ever met, as pleasant as having bedbugs in your queue. The owner was just as unpleasant, an arrogant, rude little man. This was the worst place I've ever stayed in my life.

Horrible, the worst place to stay. The breakfast that's supposedly included is a scam.
