We brought our 35 kg dog Leica last month and had no trouble at all. The hotel is pet-friendly, and so are the staff. They even have a lovely cat at reception that wanders around the hallways. There's a $250 MXN fee per dog. It's a nice little place close to the town center. Most of Champoton's main attractions, restaurants, shops, the ADO bus station, Oxxo, and an HSBC bank are within walking distance.

The sheets and the rest of the room were clean, and the staff were friendly. There's a pool, too. But although I asked at the lobby about hot water, our room didn't have any. We picked this place because its rating was better than the hotel next door, then found a used bar of soap left on the towel rack by the shower.

For what it costs, this is a really good stay. The pool was a bit dirty, but I can understand that. I left my backpack with shoes behind and hoped it would be returned. Thanks so much for keeping it safe, I've got it back now. Not many places are this honest.
