The food was a highlight, with two kitchens: one serving a full vegan menu and the other offering plenty of seafood and meat dishes. We came for the day and dinner and were greeted so warmly by Nicole and Oscar. Their beautiful property sits right in the jungle, with a natural Cenote pool and a Temezcal steam lodge that make it feel like a place for healing. The meal and cocktails were delicious, too.
We stopped for a meal at the restaurant as we were leaving, and the food was delicious. The small, rustic cabins were comfortable, with a fridge, fans, and electricity. It’s a special spot tucked into a beautiful stretch of jungle, and the hosts were kind.
The lush, quiet surroundings make this hidden gem feel so peaceful, and I felt safe there. Nicole was quick to respond and very helpful. The cabins are beautiful, too. I definitely want to come back on my own, stay awhile, read, and meditate. Thank you!
It’s shaded and cool, just right for unwinding in the jungle. I showed up with my tent and got a lovely welcome. I’m the only person here, so the Cenote, outdoor kitchen, and large screened-in lounge with hammocks and loungers are all mine for now. There’s another Cenote and a cute town with good restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away. You can rent one bike.
I’ve spent three New Year’s Eves in a row here, and I keep coming back. It’s become a beloved home where I can take care of body, mind, and soul. I often visit alone, bringing books to read, exploring and swimming, or meeting other guests. The place is low frills, which suits me, and feels deeply connected to nature.
