Casa Grande Chihuahua

The breakfast buffet used to be really good, but that's in the past. The food was barely warm, the bread was stale, and the restaurant looked like it hadn't had basic maintenance in years. Elsewhere, towels were torn to shreds, the carpet was nasty, and the old furniture was scratched and beat up. They gave us one bar of soap for both the sink and shower. Calling it dated barely covers it. It may once have been a five star hotel, but now it's two stars at best. Motel 6 gives you more for your money. Never again.

The mattresses were very comfortable, and there were lots of blankets. The breakfast was good, with live music in the restaurant. Most things seemed clean, but the bathtub had quite a bit of hair in it, the paint there was chipping, and I couldn't get the water to a comfortable temperature. The bathroom needs better maintenance.

The hotel seemed clean in general, but getting to our room meant a very long walk. We were put in someone else's room by mistake. When we opened the door, a man came out of the bathroom pulling up his pants and showed us we had the same room. The front desk moved us, though the new room was another long walk away on the second floor. There are no elevators. The room, bathroom, and furniture were old. The shower didn't look inviting, so I decided I'd shower at home that night. The towel had a hole, and the AC was cold but loud. A bottle of water cost 16 pesos even though the website says bottled water is free. Breakfast looked okay, but wasn't free, so we went to a grocery store. The gym had no water and no elliptical machine.

The rooms were good, but the AC was so noisy, just awful. They don't even include coffee with your stay. We got two small cups for 80 pesos, lol. Not cool.
