The one downside is that every other hotel we visited felt pale by comparison. The place has a great location, with a style that mixes art deco, old-world magic, and jungle, plus lots of beautiful plants in the open-air courtyard. Staff were super friendly. Cold drinking water was free, and both the AC and hot water worked really well. I'd absolutely stay again. Thank you!

The restaurant is off the charts, probably the most beautiful one in Merida, and you can tell an expert did the decorating. The hotel itself is beautiful, cozy, and warm. Our room felt perfect, with gorgeous decor, a full remodel, and lovely details that made us comfortable and completely satisfied. I read a bad review claiming the linens and other things were old, but that's not true. It's totally remodeled. The location is ideal, in Merida's nicest area where Montejo avenue starts, and beautiful restaurants and stores are within walking distance. Treat yourself to a stay here if you want a nice experience.

One of our favourite hotels ever. It's peaceful and comfortable, with really authentic decor, and perfectly placed for exploring Merida Centro Historico on foot.

This is about the restaurant. I used to stop in now and then for distinctive Iranian dishes, like cucumber yogurt soup. It seems there's new management, and the menu has lost all the things that made it special. Now it's just dull breakfast food you could find anywhere. My huevos rancheros had no flavor at all. Sad.

The staff were helpful and gentle, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and nice. It's a beautiful place to stay in Merida. My only concern is the bar next door: they play loud music at night, and the rooms don't block the noise. I couldn't sleep on two weekend nights.
