Paqui Bed & Breakfast

The crew and hosts were so welcoming and kind that I felt like part of the family. Over a year of traveling, this is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. It's the cheapest in town, in a good location, and the cleaning service is amazing.

Paqui hostel is a relaxed place, much like the city itself, and I had a fantastic time there. It's a little outside the centre, though getting around is fairly easy. The beds are really comfortable, the shower has hot water, and they provide a hot breakfast each day. Manuel’s dog wanders around the hostel too, which is a lot of fun. I'd highly recommend it to anyone passing through.

I paid 280 pesos a night for a dorm bed and stayed two nights, but I was the only guest in the whole house, so I had the place to myself. I could use the kitchen, had my own bathroom with strong water pressure, and there was complimentary drinking water. My motorcycle fit in the garage, and Soriano Supermercado is just a block away. The proprietor, Manny, was super accommodating. It was a great spot to hang my hat for a couple of days. I don't know why more people don't stay here.

When I was here, there were only a few guests, so space wasn't an issue. It might get cramped when the hostel is fully booked. It's quiet and clean, and breakfast has both cold choices like cereal and bread, and hot ones like beans and eggs. The lower bathroom could use some work.
