We stayed one night at Villas Yalahau before continuing to Holbox. The small houses are cozy, and there was enough room for our two suitcases and two bags. The staff were really friendly. The toilets and bed were very clean. Water pressure was good; it took a little while to get warm, but then it worked well. The mattress felt a bit hard to me, though it wasn't a big deal. Highly recommended :)

Beautiful place, but the administration was nonexistent. We made a reservation and arrived to find they weren't ready for us. After I spoke by phone with the owner, the clerk hung up on her and arranged a room for us. Honestly, the employee seemed to care more than the owner. They gave us whatever was available, not what we had reserved. At least it was just one night on the way to Holbox.

We really enjoyed our short stay, even though most of our time was spent over in Holbox. If we return, I'd stay around the pool and chill area. Cheap beers, great company, and clean, comfortable, spacious rooms with a homely feel. This was the first place where we actually felt safe and at home. The place is beautiful, built in six months, and she is a beautiful woman. The only negative was the WiFi. There was a little noise at night from a chicken and a dog now and then, but you can get over it. Thanks so much, see you in the future.

We arrived in Chiquila late after a long, busy day on a birthday road trip, having forgotten to book a hotel for the night. Luckily, we found this place. Elena (I believe that's her name) was very accommodating and helpful, and even offered to let us leave our car there while we went to Holbox. The hotel was clean and appealing, and the staff went out of their way to help. It was a great place to unwind before heading to Holbox. I'm writing this two months after the trip because I'm looking to book again.

Our flight was cancelled, so they welcomed us at midnight when all we needed was somewhere to sleep before catching the 6 am ferry to Holbox. It was a delightful stay, and everything was very clean. Wish we could have stayed longer.
