City Express Junior by Marriott Mexicali

Check-in was easy, and the location was convenient for the area we were visiting.

The beds are comfortable, but the rooms and beds are small, so two people max. Three would feel overcrowded. The AC keeps the room fresh. Breakfast has been the same both times I've stayed: scrambled eggs, black beans, chips with salsa, plus yogurt, sweet bread, ham, cheese, tomatoes, orange juice, and coffee. It's delicious and satisfying. The front desk clerk is kind and welcoming, and the staff are helpful when you ask for a fresh set of sheets. I'd check the bed when you arrive, though. Both times I've been here, the housekeeper didn't change the sheets, and I found hair on them with a sweaty, dusty smell. Also, put the do not disturb tag outside your door in the morning. The housekeeper may try to come in with little warning.

Our first room had blankets with hair and stains under the top sheet. They moved us to another room, but as soon as we walked in we saw urine on the toilet and open bars of soap left in the bathroom. Then we got a third room for the night, on the 5th floor…

The staff were very friendly, and the room was clean. The AC worked perfectly against Mexicali's heat, and breakfast was good, with food that tasted good. I'm not sure about the location, since it was a bit far from the places I was visiting. I could stay here again on my next trip to Mexicali.
