The hotel is beautiful and charming, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly, and the location was perfect for walking to the pyramid and the xocalo. The rooms and bathrooms could use better lighting. We also found it hot without air conditioning during a heat wave in Mexico, though that’s common in Cholula and not the hotel’s fault. There was no room service because the kitchen wasn’t operating at the time. That was fine, but good to know in advance since there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Our room looked out at the pyramid, and it’s an easy walk there from the hotel. The rooms have period-style furniture with modern bathrooms. We’d definitely stay again.

As soon as we saw the room, we went back to the front desk to cancel. It was so humid I could hardly breathe, and there wasn’t a window. I can’t remember ever having a room like that in a hotel with such a high rate. The manager didn’t seem to care when we complained and said we could leave if we wanted. So we did.

I stayed at the beautiful Hotel Boutique Xelhua for the first time last night. My parents have stayed there too and absolutely loved their balcony room. It’s right by the pyramid, in the heart of Cholula, and the only thing I’d ask for is better internet. Apart from that, you really can’t ask for a better experience.

This little hotel is a great base for seeing the area around Cholula, including the pyramid, the volcano, and the church on top of the pyramid. It’s super comfortable, and you’ll enjoy your stay.
