Capital O Palms Hotel

The Capital Palms Hotel in Acuña, Mexico, charged me extra just because I paid by credit card. That's completely unacceptable and makes me question how they run the place. It feels dishonest, and I can see why they might have trouble getting repeat guests. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The extra fees are a headache, and this kind of treatment will keep customers from becoming loyal. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

The breakfast bar was the best part. We got two tickets, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean on my later visits, though the first time I cleaned and mopped myself because it wasn't as thoroughly clean as I wanted. I've stayed about three times since I didn't know the town. The hotel is decent and secure, with security on site, but I don't like its part of town. The price seems high for a place without a pool, and the doors are too narrow, especially if you have a child in a wheelchair. Since finding another hotel with a pool and wheelchair accessible restrooms, I haven't come back and don't intend to.

Breakfast, cleanliness, the staff, and the room were all wonderful. Still, I need reliable, strong, secure wifi for business calls, and the connection doesn't meet those needs. It seems like an easy fix, but I don't know if or when they'll update it. Large trucks are allowed on the property, and I'd appreciate quiet hours being enforced. I'd stay again if they fixed the wifi. I must have it to take business calls while I'm there.

We've stayed here several times as a family, and I recommend it. The place is well cleaned, the food is good, and the service is great. They also have wifi, breakfast, and free parking. To me, it's an okay place to stay.
