Hotel Suites EL Paseo

We stayed here for our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. The garden area was beautiful.

The pool area is thoughtfully laid out, with a soaking pool, a kiddie pool, and a large swimming pool. There are tables under shade trees as well as regular sun loungers. During my four-night stay for dental work, they honored my request for a quiet room on the second story. I liked the old-world feel of the separate two-story buildings, each with about eight units, linked by wide walkways and surrounded by trees and other plants. There was plenty of stone, tile, and stucco. My room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with heavy knotty pine furniture. The service was excellent, and the restaurant's buffet breakfast was delicious. It's centrally located for anyone without a car, with shops and restaurants nearby, and there's gated parking if you're driving. If you enjoy the feel of old Mexico, I think you'd love El Paseo.

My stay included a very delicious breakfast buffet. The pool looked nice, though I didn't swim. It's a clean, comfortable hotel with a classic traditional Mexican style, and I plan to return on my next visit to Juárez.

The customer service was dismal. My room had no coat hangers, and when I asked, I was told they were in storage. They didn't arrive until the next day, after I called the front desk several times. Some rooms also have air conditioners that don't work well, which is a problem in this heat. The hotel is a bit outdated, but that's not why I'm giving it three out of five stars. The confusing layout doesn't bother me much since the hotel seems like it may have been an afterthought in the architectural design. I wouldn't go back.
