Antonio's Miramar Hotel

The power kept going out, and the nightly rate felt too high for the service. At first, the sink and shower water smelled awful, like sewage, and the odor even lingered on our hands after washing. Reception said it was because the room was new and the plumbing smelled that way. They moved us, but the next room was filthy and smelled like dirty sheets. At least the water no longer smelled bad. With more guests, the place seems to get dirtier without being cleaned properly. I absolutely don't recommend staying here.

They charged us $500.00 for each pet, even though the listings describe the hotel as pet-friendly. Our first room also had a foul smell from the dirty plumbing, both in the shower and sink. After they moved us, we found the other room dirty too. It's a new hotel, but maintenance is badly lacking. Bad stay for a high price.

It's a nice hotel, and the amenities are convenient, but the mattresses have bed bugs. They should fumigate the mattresses and the facilities.

Getting around is a concern for older guests. There's no ramp or elevator access, which makes it hard for people who can't climb steps or use wheelchairs. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, the facilities are nearly new and very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive. There's no restaurant, but you can bring in food and drinks from other businesses, and they have grills for making carnitas. An Oxxo is across the boulevard, and the boardwalk is close by. For sunrise views, I'd ask for an ocean-facing room. We hope to come back soon. Thanks for the care.
