OYO Hotel Puerta De Jade

A lovely garden in the central courtyard makes for a peaceful place to relax. The hotel is comfortable and charming, with a good price and a very convenient location in the city center. If it's your first trip, it's a handy base for exploring the Huasteca region and makes staying in Ciudad Valles easier.

We came to watch the Voli tournament at the end of January. Because we were short on time, they assigned us one of the apartment-style units just across from the hotel. The price was good, it was central and easy to reach, and the kitchenette was handy for making something and saving a little on restaurant breakfast or dinner. There was fast WiFi, instant hot water, and comfortable beds. The unit we got had no windows at all, so it was basically a bunker with no natural light. I don't know if the other apartments have windows. I was traveling with someone who had trouble walking, and unfortunately our apartment was on the third floor, up many steep steps. The sink areas in both the bathroom and kitchenette had unpleasant smells. They don't clean the place during your stay. The hotel has no parking, but there's one right next door that charges $50 to leave your car overnight.

There were restaurants nearby, and the staff gave great service. Everything was in perfect condition. It was a very pleasant, comfortable, clean, and quiet stay. 10/10, I loved it!

The breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced, and there's a complimentary mini coffee bar on a lovely terrace. It's a small hotel, but very pleasant and comfortable. We got a warm welcome when we arrived, and check-in was easy for my group. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
