The breakfasts were a real highlight: fresh fruit, squeezed orange juice, macadamia cake, and a different egg dish each day. This small, modern, clean hotel is only a couple of blocks from Coatepec’s central plaza and market. It has comfortable, well-appointed shared space, so it works nicely for a group of friends or family booking several rooms, as well as solo travelers, couples, or small families who like meeting other guests.

We brought 12 people together for a family gathering, and the Hotel “Casa” really did feel like home. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and very nice, and the service and location were excellent. It’s a small boutique hotel with just a few rooms, which suits a group like ours.

I especially loved the green enchiladas at breakfast. The hotel is right in the middle of things, with coffee shops, markets, and the central plaza easy to reach. Even so, it’s a peaceful spot for a relaxing break, and the warm welcome made it feel like home.

Staying at Casa San Jose felt like being at home in the lovely town of Coatepec. The place was clean, the atmosphere was wonderful, and everyone was friendly. The location couldn’t have been better.
