For what this place costs, our stay at Hotel Hacienda Cocoyoc was unacceptable. We expected a premium experience, but problems started at check-in. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the windows didn't seal properly and left the room feeling exposed, and the AC was so bad we struggled to keep the temperature livable. There were bugs in the room, and the pool looked visibly dirty. Staff weren't helpful, either. The ban on outside food and drinks is ridiculous when the food on site is mediocre at best and the store was never open. Wi-Fi was practically nonexistent, so it's a poor choice if you need to work or stay connected. It's a beautiful property, but the quality and service don't match the price. I'd look for somewhere that treats its guests better.

I was there for a symposium and probably wouldn't go back. The open areas are nice and give the place a relaxing feel, but the food is just okay. The bar and game room both close at 9:30, and outside alcohol isn't allowed. The game room is a dirty little attic with NES consoles, a raggedy pool table and ping-pong table, and loads of mosquitoes. Some waiters are great, while others are really rude, except, of course, to English speakers, which feels discriminatory. The bathrooms are awful, with little water pressure and often a bad smell and dirt. There's a small store within walking distance, but the area isn't really walkable and there's not much else around.

There isn't much near this hotel, so it's mainly somewhere to relax and enjoy nature. The weather is lovely all year, and the gardens and swimming pools are well maintained. It's a gorgeous hotel in a former Hacienda in Morelos, near Cuautla, about an hour from Mexico City. Rooms start at around USD180.

We came for a wedding in June of 2025 and had a fantastic stay. The property is gorgeous, clean and has beautiful amenities, with plenty of room for the whole weekend's events, from the rehearsal night to the wedding and farewell brunch. The food and drinks were very good, and the wedding was beautiful. You could tell they paid attention to all the details. The fireworks were a lovely touch. Ricardo and Jonathan gave us over-the-top service as our servers on the wedding night, and Jose Luis helped us pack our vehicle the next day. We really appreciated it. Thank you all!

We spent a few days here for a wedding and stayed inside the hotel the whole time. The rooms are spacious, and it was quiet and relaxing. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
